These three scholarships will be for graduating seniors or college students
from BC, that are enrolled in any post secondary institution.
The Craftsmanship Scholarship is sponsored by Quilchena Ranch and the Rose Family.
The scholarships will be awarded to the writer, craftsman, and artist best depicting
the value of our western/cowboy heritage, ie:
- Historical or contemporary ranching and stock-raising practices.
- Figures involved in ranching and stock-raising practices.
- Art, industries, institutions and/or technologies which support or sustain historical or
contemporary ranching and stock-raising practices.
- Cowboy Craft, eg: horsehair braiding, leather work, metal work, etc.
To apply for a scholarship just read the
rules, print the application form, fill it out and sign it, and mail it
with a copy of your poem or essay, or your original art or
craft work (not a copy or photo), to the address below. Entries should not have been
published previously. We reserve the right to publish the winning entries for promotional
use. All entries must be presentable for display. Written submissions will be judged on
content as well as punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
Entry deadline is Dec 31st.
