THE BC COWBOY HERITAGE SOCIETY

This site includes the Kamloops Cowboy Festival, the BCCHS Scholarships, the BC Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Joe Marten Memorial Award for the Preservation of Cowboy Heritage in BC, a Cowboy Poetry Page, and an About the BCCHS page. The latter includes the BCCHS mandate, products for sale, and membership information. There is also a calendar of events which includes other Western / Cowboy type events, cowboy poets and their poetry, and the dates of some of the other Festivals and Gatherings!

The 2008 Clinton Grad Class Dinner Theater Cowboy Concert

The 2008 Clinton Grad Class is putting on a Dinner Theater Cowboy Concert on the Clinton Rodeo Weekend - Friday May 23rd. All proceeds go to the Grad Class. The concert will feature Alberta's Brett Kissel with other performances by Frank Gleeson and Jeremy Willis. Tickets are $25 each. The Spring Newsletter is on-line! This is the program for the Kamloops Cowboy Festival. It's got about all you'll want to know about the weeekend of March 6th - 9th, 2008. There's also a review of the 100 Mile Cowboy Concert and a review of the 2008 Spirit of the West Hawaii Cruise!! The Festival schedules are available as downloadable PDFs, too.

The 2008 Hall of Fame Inductees
The seven inductees for 2008 are now on the Hall of Fame page.
From there you can click on "Archives" to see the photos and bios.

We're looking for nominations for the Joe Marten Memorial Award for the Preservation of Cowboy Heritage in BC. The information and a nomination Form are on-line here. Anyone can make a niomination! Heritage Preservation Award

Tyin One On by Lesley White

Correction to price of Lesley White's art in the Art of the West Exhibition and Sale at the Kamloops Cowboy Festival. The painting, titled "Tyin' One On" was inadvertently priced at $3,150.00 and the price should have been $1,300.00. We apologize to Lesley and to any of her customers that may have seen this mistake.
