September 8th to 10th - Miles of Memories Country MusicFest

September 16th - 18th - Western Spirit Celebration
A Cowboy Gathering - Friday: 7:00 FREE outdoor concert with Church of the Western Swing Band. Saturday: 9:00 am events begin and continue until 6:00 pm. Longhorn cattle drive, Western singers/poets, blacksmithing, horse pulling contest, Dutch oven demonstration, quilt auction, children's area and chuck wagon grub. Saturday: 7:30 pm "A sleep at the Wheel" will be performing at the Simmons Center. Sunday: 8:30 am. Chuck wagon breakfast followed by Cowboy Church. December 16th - Cowboy Christmas Concert
In the Calvary Community Church in Kamloops. Featuring only Christmas music by Jeremy Willis, Gordie West, Hugh McLennan, Butch Falk, Shirley Field, Matt Johnston, and Santa Claus himself. Bring your camera and get your photo taken with Santa - no charge - for kids and kids with kids! In the concert itself the entertainers will sing in the first half and then things will turn into an audience driven concert - the audience can yell out a request for the performers to sing and and then everyone can join in. January 3rd to 18th, 2012 - Spirit of the West Annual Cruise

January 30th to February 4th - National Cowboy Poetry Gathering
Their 28th Gathering in Elko, Nevada. Every January for the last 27 years, cowboys, ranchers, rural and urban people have traveled to Elko to join with friends, family and all those who share their love of rural life in the West. Together, they listen to poetry and music, learn about cowboy culture in the US and around the world, experience great art, watch western films, learn a craft, and gather together to eat, drink and swap stories. Programs at the 28th Gathering will focus on the southwestern United States, specifically Arizona and New Mexico - which are celebrating their centennials this year. In addition to the Southwest Ranch Country exhibition, the Gathering will present poets and musicians from the region, as well as workshops and panel discussions focused on regional food, culture and agriculture. see their web site here!

February 16th to 19th - 8th Annual Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering
In Ellensburg, Washington. Michael Martin Murphey, Dave Stamey, Bar J Wranglers, Brenn Hill, Sourdough Slim, Chris Isaacs, Adrian, Gary Allegretto, Carin Mari, and the CWU Symphony Orchestra will be held at the CWU Concert Hall and the Kittitas Valley Event Center. A number of western entertainers perform at downtown venues providing free entertainment on Friday and Saturday, as well as a Western Gear & Art Show, Rodeo Cowboy Reunion, Chuck Wagon Cook Off, Fiddle Contest and a Western Dance Saturday night featuring The Saddle Cats.
