January 23rd - 30th - The 26th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering
will take place in the small community of Elko, Nevada, which will overflow with thousands of cowboys and cowgirls, poets and musicians, artisans and scholars, rural people and city folks. National Cowboy Poetry Gathering web site.

February 12th - 14th - 6th Annual Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering

February 12th - 14th - The 18th Annual Cochise Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering
The theme this year is "Cowboys and Sweethearts". More than 50 poets and musicians will entertain. Free sessions on Saturday 10:00AM to 5:00PM. February 13th - the 10th Annual 100 Mile House Cowboy Concert
Details to be announced. Two shows - a 2:00 PM Matinee and a 7:00 PM evening show. Tickets are $15 each. Featuring Gary Fjellgaard, Jessica Noad, Dave McClure, and Corky Williams. March 11th - 14th - The 14th Annual Kamloops Cowboy Festival
This gathering has gained the reputation of being one of the Biggest and Best Festivals of its kind in Canada as well as one of the best in North America! See the Festival page for details.

March 13th & 14th - Spring Antiques & Collectibles Sale
The North Shore Community Centre is a non-profit society located in Kamloops. Many of the vendors (who come from all over the Okanagan) specialize in "cowboy" art, antique farm tools and other collectibles. Entrance fee - $4.00 a person & Children 12 and under are free. April 1st - 4th - Wild West Days at Rough Cut in Del Rio, Tennessee

April 9th - 10th - Cowboy Poetry and Music Contest
Cowboy poets and musicians will compete for $1200.00 in cash prizes plus very nice trophies. There are no sign up fees! Four Poets and Four Musicians will be selected from the applicants to participate over a two day period. The contest, hosted by Smoke Wade, will be held as a showcase event in conjunction with the 7th Annual Columbia River Cowboy Gathering. (see above).
